Important Information About Hiring a Marquee
We know that for many of you, this is the first time you have hired a marquee. We want your experience to be as smooth as possible, so we have gathered some important information that you should know.
Marquee Size: Plan for at least 2 to 2.5 square metres per person if seated, or 1 to 1.5 square metres per person for a standing event. If you plan to provide a dance floor, a stage, or any separated areas, you need to take those numbers into account as well. We are happy to help you determine exactly what size marquee you need.
Heating and Cooling: We know that Mother Nature does not always cooperate with outdoor events. To keep your guests comfortable, we offer a variety of portable heaters and fans. We will help you determine the size and number you need based on the size of the marquee, the predicted weather, and the number of people you expect.
Delivery and Set-up: Marquees are normally installed several days prior to the event, allowing you plenty of time to decorate. At a minimum, your marquee will be in place the day before your event. For other hire items such as chairs and tables, we do not provide a full set-up service, but our delivery drivers are happy to place your items near their final position.
